Hyderabad based Raghu Vamsi Aerospace Group (RVAG) has raised $40 million (around ₹400 crore) in a Series B funding round co-led by Norwest and Skegen Asset Management. The round also witnessed participation from Indus Bridge Ventures, GJNX Ventures, and noted investor Ashish Kacholia.

The fresh capital will be used to expand the company’s global manufacturing footprint, strengthen its deeptech and defence capabilities, and accelerate the development of its upcoming integrated manufacturing facility. The investment comes at a time when India’s aerospace and defence manufacturing sector is witnessing strong momentum, driven by rising domestic demand and global supply chain diversification.

Fresh Capital to Expand Global Manufacturing Operations

RVAG plans to utilize the newly raised funds to significantly expand manufacturing capacity across its facilities in India, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

The company will also accelerate the development of its integrated manufacturing facility, which is expected to enhance production efficiency and support the growing demand for precision-engineered aerospace and defence components.

In addition, the investment will help strengthen the company’s Mission Systems, Deep Tech, and Autonomous Systems businesses, enabling it to expand its portfolio of indigenous defence technologies.

Building Precision Components for Global Aerospace Leaders

Founded by Vamsi Vikas, Raghu Vamsi Aerospace Group specializes in manufacturing precision engineered aerospace and defence components.

The company operates more than 10 manufacturing facilities across India, the UK, and the US, providing end-to-end capabilities covering design, engineering, manufacturing, testing, and final assembly.

Its manufacturing expertise includes CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, composite structures, electronics, gears, fasteners, and NADCAP approved special processes, allowing the company to meet stringent global aerospace quality standards.

RVAG supplies components and sub-assemblies to some of the world’s leading aerospace original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), including GE Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, Honeywell, Safran, and Collins Aerospace.

Beyond aerospace, the company also serves major global energy companies such as Baker Hughes, Halliburton, SLB, and GE.

Expanding Beyond Manufacturing into Deeptech and Defence

Over the years, RVAG has expanded beyond contract manufacturing into advanced defence technologies and deeptech solutions.

The company develops micro turbojet engines, aircraft hydraulic pumps, missile subsystems, and a range of autonomous platforms for defence applications.

Its portfolio includes internal combustion (IC) and jet-powered drones as well as unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) designed for deployment by the Indian Armed Forces.

By combining manufacturing expertise with indigenous technology development, RVAG is positioning itself as an integrated aerospace and defence technology company serving both domestic and global markets.

Strong Order Book Reflects Growing Demand

According to the company, RVAG currently has an order book exceeding ₹2,500 crore, providing strong visibility into future revenue growth.

The sizeable order pipeline reflects increasing demand from global aerospace manufacturers, defence organizations, and industrial customers seeking reliable precision engineering partners.

The company is also collaborating with several leading academic and research institutions, including the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), the International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials (ARCI), and defence agencies such as the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) and the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).

These partnerships support the development of advanced technologies while strengthening India’s domestic aerospace and defence innovation ecosystem.

Funding Underscores Investor Confidence in India’s Aerospace Sector

The $40 million Series B investment highlights growing investor confidence in India’s rapidly evolving aerospace and defence manufacturing industry.

Government initiatives such as ‘Make in India’ and increasing defence indigenisation have created significant opportunities for companies developing advanced manufacturing capabilities and indigenous technologies.

With a diversified global customer base, a ₹2,500 crore order book, expanding deeptech portfolio, and fresh growth capital from leading investors, Raghu Vamsi Aerospace Group is well positioned to scale its manufacturing operations and strengthen its presence in the global aerospace and defence value chain.
