Bengaluru Startup Aims to Deliver Hospital-Grade Healthcare Within Minutes Through AI and a Decentralised Care Network

India’s healthcare sector has made significant progress over the past decade, but challenges around accessibility, convenience, and rapid response continue to affect millions of patients. Bengaluru-based startup Tez Health is looking to bridge this gap by creating an on-demand healthcare platform that delivers hospital-grade medical services directly to people’s homes within minutes.

Founded in January 2026 by Praveen Gowdru, Ramesh Yadav, and Dr. Haripriya, the startup is building what it describes as a new category of healthcare one that combines technology, trained healthcare professionals, and rapid response logistics to make medical care as accessible as food delivery or ride hailing services.

Barely a few months after its launch, Tez Health is already serving patients in Bengaluru and has ambitious plans to expand across India’s major metropolitan cities.

From VMEDO to Tez Health: A New Chapter in Healthcare Innovation

Tez Health emerged from the home healthcare division of VMEDO, a healthcare startup founded and scaled by entrepreneur Praveen Gowdru over nearly a decade.

Rather than launching an entirely new business from scratch, Gowdru separated VMEDO’s home healthcare operations to create a dedicated platform focused exclusively on rapid, at-home medical services.

Drawing on years of experience in emergency response and occupational healthcare, the founders identified a major gap in India’s healthcare ecosystem not necessarily the availability of hospitals, but the lack of immediate, convenient medical assistance outside hospital settings.

The company’s vision is to ensure that healthcare begins the moment a patient needs help rather than after they reach a hospital.

What Does Tez Health Offer?

Unlike traditional health-tech platforms that primarily provide online consultations or medicine delivery, Tez Health focuses on delivering physical healthcare services directly at patients’ homes.

Its services include home-based medical care, urgent healthcare support, diagnostic services, follow-up treatments, physiotherapy, nursing care, and coordination with ambulance providers when required.

The startup describes its model as a combination of speed and convenience, aiming to eliminate the need for unnecessary hospital visits for routine medical care.

Behind the scenes, technology coordinates healthcare professionals, manages patient requests, and enables real time service delivery while maintaining continuous communication throughout the treatment process.

Every healthcare interaction is actively monitored, with follow up calls ensuring quality control even after treatment has been completed.

How Does the Business Model Work?

Tez Health operates through a decentralised network of medical professionals rather than relying solely on hospitals or clinics.

The company currently works with Doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, and ambulance service providers, supported by a dedicated core team and full-time operational partners.

The platform also follows a standardized pricing model to make healthcare services more predictable. For example, an at-home injection service starts at ₹499, allowing patients to understand costs upfront.

To maintain service quality, the company guarantees a minimum number of bookings to healthcare professionals, enabling nurses on the platform to earn monthly incomes starting at around ₹60,000 while ensuring consistent availability of medical staff.

This approach allows Tez Health to scale rapidly without building extensive physical infrastructure.

What Are Tez Health’s Growth Plans?

Although still in its early stages, the startup has outlined aggressive expansion targets.

Currently serving around 20 patients every day, Tez Health aims to increase this figure to 10,000 daily patients across five to six major Indian metro cities within the next five years.

To support this growth, the founders have already invested ₹1.5 crore into the business and raised an additional ₹1 crore from angel investors.

The company also plans to raise institutional funding in the future to accelerate expansion, strengthen technology infrastructure, and build a dense healthcare delivery network capable of serving millions of patients nationwide.

Why Could This Model Transform Healthcare?

Healthcare globally is shifting toward decentralised, patient centric care, where treatment increasingly happens outside traditional hospitals.

Tez Health believes India is ready for this transition.

By combining technology with a distributed network of healthcare professionals, the startup aims to reduce waiting times, improve accessibility, and make healthcare available whenever and wherever patients need it.

Its model also aligns with the growing demand for home healthcare services driven by ageing populations, chronic disease management, post operative care, and increasing consumer preference for convenience.

While scaling an operationally intensive healthcare network presents significant challenges including quality control, regulatory compliance, and unit economics the company believes its technology driven coordination model can overcome these barriers.

If successful, Tez Health could redefine how healthcare is delivered in India by making rapid, hospital grade care available at home rather than requiring patients to travel to medical facilities.

As India’s healthcare ecosystem continues to evolve, startups like Tez Health are demonstrating that the future of medicine may depend not only on better hospitals, but also on bringing quality care directly to patients’ doorsteps.
