New Entrepreneurship Programme to Support 4,000 Rural Businesses Through Training, Credit and Market Access
The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) have jointly launched Gramodyam, a nationwide entrepreneurship development programme designed to nurture rural entrepreneurs and strengthen India’s grassroots economy.
Launched on the occasion of NABARD’s 45th Foundation Day, the initiative aims to identify, train, mentor, and support aspiring entrepreneurs in villages through structured skill development, business planning, access to finance, and market linkages. The programme is expected to create sustainable self-employment opportunities while promoting rural enterprise development across the country.
Gramodyam will be implemented by NSDC, operating under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), in collaboration with the Institute for Industrial Development (IID).
